Pay stubs for small businesses
If you run payroll yourself, PayDocs turns each pay period’s figures into a clear pay stub for every employee: earnings, taxes withheld, other deductions, net pay and year-to-date totals, in a professional layout. You enter the amounts from your payroll; PayDocs does the totals and the layout.
Why small businesses use a pay stub generator
Full payroll services bundle pay stubs with tax filing and direct deposit, priced per employee per month. If you already work out pay with your accountant or a spreadsheet, you may only need the document. A generator gives each employee a consistent, readable pay stub without a new subscription.
- One layout for every employee, every pay period.
- Totals, net pay and year to date added up for you.
- A preview that updates as you type, so you catch mistakes before you share it.
How to make pay stubs for your employees
- Have your payroll figures for the period ready: hours or salary, each tax withheld and each other deduction.
- Enter your business details and the employee’s details.
- Add the pay period, pay date, earnings and deductions.
- Check the net pay matches what you paid, choose a layout, and share it with the employee.
Federal law requires you to keep accurate records of hours worked and wages paid. Many states also require a wage statement each payday, so check the rules where your employees work.
What PayDocs doesn’t do
PayDocs doesn’t calculate federal, state or local taxes, file anything with the IRS or your state, or pay your employees. The tax amounts come from your own payroll process; the IRS Employer’s Tax Guide (Publication 15) explains how withholding works.
Questions
How much does it cost?
Creating and previewing pay stubs is free. The finished PDF is $4.99 per pay stub, with no subscription; checkout opens at launch.
Can I save employees and reuse them next pay period?
That’s planned for accounts, which aren’t open yet. Today each pay stub is built from scratch in the browser.
